This term one of our topics is Space. I've learnt a lot even though we haven't been learning it for long.
One thing that interested me the most was how people are starting to find a new, close planet to live on, since the sun is going to blow up in a few billion years. I found that quite scary even though I have nothing to worry about. I wondered if there was life in another Solar System. That would be really cool! But i also wondered if we will have enough money in the future to take everyone to another planet.
I really like learning about Space because i like looking at our stars and planets. I hope I can learn a lot more in other lessons.

ABOUT SOPHIE PASCOE!!!
For one our tasks this week, we had to chose a famous person to research. I chose Sophie Pascoe.
Sophie Pascoe is a famous New Zealand Paralympic swimmer. She is very successful and has won many medals over the years.
Sophie Frances Pascoe was born on January 8, 1993 in Christchurch. She is 21 years old.
Her parents are Gary and Jo Pascoe, she also has an older sister called Rebecca who is 9 years older than her. Sophie went to Halswell Primary School, then later on went to Lincoln High School. She started to swim at the age of 7, so she's been doing it for a while.
Sadly,on September 23, 1995, Sophie's father accidentally ran a lawnmower over her legs, and both legs got caught under the blades. Her left leg got amputated below the knee, Her right was left with severe scarring.
Her coach is Roly Critchon and she trains at QEII swim club in Burnside.
One of her Achievements
At 15 she was New Zealand's youngest at the Paralympics, and the youngest I ever New Zealander to win a medal.

HOLIDAYS!!!!!
In the holidays I went to Auckland to see ma cousins. We went to Waiwera which is a place with lots of pools and waterslides. My favourite pool was the Movie Pool, My favourite slides were the Twister and the Speed Slide. We also had a Harry Potter movie marathon because the weather was really bad :(
When my brother and I came back I went to Adrenaline Forrest with Abbbbaaayyyy! It was really fun. Level 1&2 were easy but level 3 was scary and a bit hard.
That's basically some of the things I did in the holidays. I had heaps of fuuunnn!
